Kim Seok-jin is clearly keeping tabs on ARMY’s timeline even while headlining his much-awaited RunSeokjin Ep. Tour. During his solo show in Anaheim, Jin had the entire arena in hysterics after referencing the now-notorious Coldplay concert "cheating scandal" that’s been blowing up online.

What began as a simple game of charades during a break in his set quickly turned into an unexpected viral crossover. When the prompt “Coldplay” appeared on the screen, fans immediately launched into exaggerated re-enactments of the infamous kiss-cam moment from Coldplay’s Massachusetts concert, yes, that one, where a couple’s panicked reaction to being caught on screen sparked widespread cheating rumours.

Initially puzzled by the audience’s odd gestures, specifically the dramatic “hug and duck” move that’s now burned into internet history, Jin soon caught on. Laughing, he joined in with his own impression and cheekily asked, “Is it my bro?” a playful nod to his well-documented friendship with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, forged during their emotional collab performance in Seoul this April. Jin then mimicked the awkward hug seen in the viral clip, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Fans online went wild. “THE ARMY WHO MADE THIS ACTION FOR HIM TO MIMIC OMG,” one fan screamed in disbelief. Another wrote, “Imagine being the reason BTS knows you're a cheater. What a legacy.” And the internet, naturally, lost it with reactions like: “WHO SHOWED THIS TO HIM COSMCLWNCKSKXKKWJD.”

What happened at the Coldplay concert?

For anyone somehow still out of the loop: at Coldplay’s show last week, the jumbotron zoomed in on a couple cuddling until they abruptly pulled apart and ducked their faces when they realised they were on camera. Chris Martin, oblivious to the brewing drama, quipped, “Oh what... either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.” Unfortunately for him, that line didn’t age well.

Within hours, internet detectives identified the pair as Andy Byron, CEO of software company Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company’s head of HR, both married, but not to each other. No statements have been made, but their panicked body language did all the talking. And now, thanks to Jin’s hilarious onstage nod, the saga has officially entered the BTS universe.
