Arijit Singh to make his Bollywood directorial debut with a 'Jungle Adventure Film'

Arijit Singh, known for giving us some of the most soulful songs in Bollywood, is now trying something completely different. The singer is all set to make his debut as a film director, and the news has taken everyone by surprise. According to Bollywood Hungama, Arijit is all set to make his debut as a director with a unique Jungle Adventure Film. The movie will be produced by Mahaveer Jain.

A source shared with the news portal, “Arijit Singh is all set to direct a unique jungle adventure film. Mahaveer Jain is the producer, and he’s excited about this ambitious project. He’s going all out to ensure that the film appeals to the Pan-India audience.".

The source further added, "The casting and prep are underway. The team plans to announce the film once the casting and title are locked. Until now, Arijit Singh has rocked the show as a singer, due to which he’s also a top artist on Spotify. Now, he will surprise one and all with his directorial prowess".

The film has been written by Arijit himself along with Koyel Singh. It is being produced by Sudipta Bhattacharya, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Bala Saheb Darade, under the banners of Mahaveer Jain Films and Alokdyuti Films. God Bless Entertainment is on board as co-producer.

Arijit’s journey started back in 2005 when he participated in the reality show Fame Gurukul. Though he didn’t win, the show opened the door to the music world. His first Bollywood song, Phir Mohabbat, from Murder 2 released in 2011. But it was Tum Hi Ho from Aashiqui 2 in 2013 that changed everything for Arijit. The song made him a household name and won him his first Filmfare Award.

Over the years, Arijit has delivered many hits and has won several major awards, including two National Awards, one for 'Binte Dil' from the movie Padmaavat, and the other for 'Kesariya' from the film Brahmāstra.

Recently, he teamed up with global pop star Ed Sheeran for 'Sapphire', which went viral. The song also had Shah Rukh Khan’s surprise cameo and Ed Sheeran singing in Punjabi.
