Tanishk Bagchi has been hitting the headlines for making the title song of Saiyaara. Starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the song has touched hearts all over the country. But what many didn’t know is that Tanishk was going through one of the toughest phases of his life while making it.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, the music composer shared that he was dealing with depression and couldn’t sleep properly during that time. “I was in depression while making Saiyaara. I was on medication every day, struggling to sleep. There was success, but still an emptiness I couldn’t explain. I had a home, a career, everything-but the sadness stayed", he said.

Tanishk also spoke about how each person who worked on the song brought their own struggles to the table. “Arslan (Nizami) was going through family issues, Faheem (Abdullah) had exams, and Mohit (Suri) Sir would open up to me too. We were all carrying something heavy, and we shared it with each other. Every artist involved in Saiyaara put their pain into it. I think that’s why it resonates so deeply", he added.

Tanishk revealed how this track became more than just music to him and acted as a turning point in both his personal and professional life. “We never set out to make a hit. We just wanted it to be real-simple, honest. No drama, no fakery. When it was done, I listened to it on loop. For the first time ever, my own song started healing me. That’s when I knew-it would heal others too", he shared.

Saiyaara, sung by Faheem Abdullah with lyrics by Irshad Kamil, has already been trending on charts ever since it dropped. It's full of emotion and honesty, and that's what makes a fan favourite. Listen to Saiyaara title track on Gaana!
