Sonu Nigam drops his latest single ‘Kahaani Meri’ on his birthday, launched by his youngest fan

Sonu Nigam’s birthday just got more special, not just for him, but for all his fans as well. He dropped his much-awaited single ‘Kahaani Meri’, a soulful track that beautifully blends Hindustani and Carnatic classical music. The track is composed and arranged by P V N S Rohit and written by G Ritesh Rao and Sonu Nigam himself. It’s released under his own label, I Believe Music, and distributed by Global Music Junction. ‘Kahaani Meri’ feels like a personal journey. It is a reminder to let life happen to you, rather than chase the destination. The music video features Sonu Nigam roaming around, discovering new places, and living his life to the fullest. It is shot in the majestic and serene landscape of Leh to highlight a poetic reflection of self and the powerful moments that shape who we are.

But what makes this song even more special is how it was launched by his youngest fan, Vedarrth. Sonu has always shown gratitude towards his fans. He even calls them his "extended family". And to feel more connected with them, he decided to get 'Kahaani Meri' launched by one of his fans, that too, the youngest.

Vedarrth, who turned one today, shares his birthday with Sonu Nigam. His parents, Pranita Jaiswal and Anshuman Tapase, have been longtime Sonu fans. They even chose to have their son via C-section on July 30, 2024, so that he could share the birthday with the singer they love so much. Vedarrth has been listening to Sonu’s music since he was in the womb. Songs like 'Hanuman Chalisa' and 'Ram Siya Ram' have been like lullabies for him. So, having him launch ‘Kahaani Meri’ felt just right.

Talking about the song and having his youngest admirer Vedarrth launch it, Sonu said, “I have always been full of gratitude for my extended family across the world for all the love and blessings they shower on me. Be it an 80-year-old or a newborn, sustaining for over 47 years as a musician and still receiving love wouldn’t have been possible without their blessings. That makes me bow down in gratitude. On my birthday, I’m celebrating with Vedarrth, who turns one today. His parents tell me he has loved my music since he was in his mother’s womb. Having him launch this song, which is very close to my heart, is heartening".
