Salman Khan teams up with Vamshi Paidipally for new film; music composer yet to be revealed

Salman Khan has officially announced his next big-screen project, and this time, he is teaming up with director Vamshi Paidipally for an action thriller. The actor, who is gearing up for Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, shared the update on social media, giving the first glimpse of the new collaboration. While the announcement itself has already created excitement, there is also growing curiosity around the film’s music, especially the name that will eventually come on board for the background score.

Posting a photo with Vamshi Paidipally, Salman confirmed that the film will go on floors in April 2026. He wrote, “Dil, Dimag, Jigar se… from this April with @directorvamshi.”

The yet-untitled film is reportedly being planned as a big theatrical entertainer and is eyeing an Eid 2027 release. With Salman Khan and Vamshi Paidipally coming together for a large-scale action film, expectations are naturally high already.

The project will be produced by Dil Raju under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. Given Salman’s long association with chartbuster albums and Vamshi’s own flair for commercial entertainers, the music of this film is already shaping up to be a major talking point among fans. Social media is already filled with comments like, “Salman + Vamshi ??? music album is going to be fire”, “already seated for the songs, not even joking” and “who's composing the album?????”

Adding more excitement, the makers announced that Nayanthara is set to star opposite to Salman Khan. This marks the first on-screen pairing of the two superstars.

Salman Khan’s Telugu debut

This won’t be Salman Khan’s first association with Telugu cinema. The actor made his Telugu debut with a special appearance in Godfather in 2022, where he shared screen space with Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara. His cameo in the film had generated plenty of attention at the time and marked a notable crossover moment between Bollywood and Tollywood.

About director Vamshi Paidipally

Vamshi Paidipally has built a strong reputation for delivering large-scale films that combine emotion with mainstream appeal. He made his directorial debut with Munna, starring Prabhas, and went on to direct films like Brindavanam with Jr. NTR, Yevadu featuring Ram Charan, and Maharshi, which earned him a National Film Award. He later expanded further across industries with Varisu, starring Tamil star Vijay.

Salman Khan’s upcoming projects

Apart from Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace and his newly announced film with Vamshi Paidipally, Salman Khan is also reportedly set to feature in another action entertainer with director duo Raj & DK. The project is expected to be produced by Mythri Movie Makers, with Samantha Ruth Prabhu likely to come on board as the female lead.

He is also believed to be making a cameo appearance as Jiva Mahala in the bilingual film Raja Shivaji.
