Sai Abhyankkar and Shruti Haasan drop unplugged version of Pavazha Malli

After Pavazha Malli caught everyone’s attention online, Shruti Haasan and Sai Abhyankkar have now returned with a fresh unplugged version of the song, giving fans a softer and more intimate take on the track.

In a new Instagram reel shared by Shruti Haasan and indie composer Sai Abhyankkar, the two are seen singing together in a relaxed setting. While Shruti appears in a lavender saree, Sai keeps it casual in a simple t-shirt as they jam to the song.

Sharing the reel, the duo wrote, “#pavazhamalli unplugged ♥️”

The unplugged version has already started getting love from fans, many of whom are now calling it their new favourite. Social media users quickly flooded the comments section with reactions like, “Love this!! 🔥🔥🔥”, “omg this combo is 🔥” and “love this version”.

About Pavazha Malli

The original version of Pavazha Malli was composed and produced by Sai Abhyankkar, while the lyrics were written by Vivek. The female vocals for the track were sung by Shruti Haasan. The title Pavazha Malli translates to Coral Jasmine in English. The song was released under Think Indie Collective, and its music video was launched during a special event at VR Chennai on March 5. The video also features Kayadu Lohar.

Talking about Sai Abhyankkar's upcoming work, the singer-composer is currently working on several high-profile projects. He is set to compose music for Atlee’s big Telugu debut starring Allu Arjun, often referred to as AA22. The young composer has also come on board for Suriya’s film Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji. He is also attached to several major star-led projects, including Silambarasan’s 49th film, Marshal starring Karthi, and another upcoming project with Dhanush directed by Rajkumar Periasamy.
