Ready for the 'Monica'? Coolie's second single featuring Pooja Hegde to drop on THIS date

As anticipation builds for one of 2025’s biggest releases, Coolie, the makers have now unveiled details about the film’s second single. Titled "Monica", the track features Pooja Hegde in a glamorous new avatar and is all set to release on July 11 at 6 PM.

Taking to social media, the team shared a poster of Pooja as Monica, teasing fans with the caption: "The Monica fever is about to begin!" The song is composed and sung by Anirudh Ravichander, whose first single from the film, 'Chikitu,' has already set the tone for the Rajinikanth starrer. Here's Monica's teaser:


Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie is slated to hit theatres on August 14, 2025, in both standard and IMAX formats. Interestingly, IMDb has reported that it is the most anticipated Indian film of the year. While speculation has swirled around a possible connection to the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (which includes Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo), the filmmaker has clarified that Coolie is a standalone project. The film stars Rajinikanth in the lead, with a powerful ensemble that includes Akkineni Nagarjuna as Simon, Upendra in an undisclosed role, Sathyaraj as Rajasekar, Soubin Shahir as Dayal, and Shruti Haasan as Preethi. The cherry on the cake is however, is Aamir Khan making his Tamil debut in the film. The actor will essay the role of Dahaa, though details about his character have been kept under wraps. With such a star-studded cast and a promising soundtrack, Coolie has quickly become one of the most awaited films of the year.
