‘Love Insurance Kompany’ trailer promises a quirky 2040 love story powered by tech and emotions

The Love Insurance Kompany trailer is finally here, and promises to be every bit of the long wait. The futuristic romantic drama led by Pradeep Ranganathan, SJ Suryah, and Krithi Shetty is directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film has romance, technology, and humour and is set in a unique narrative in the year 2040.

The LIK trailer introduces SJ Suryah as the visionary founder of a futuristic matchmaking platform that claims to decode human compatibility with near-divine precision. His character boldly asserts that the app can distinguish between the “nice” and the “noise” in potential partners, positioning it as a game-changing tool in modern relationships. Pradeep Ranganathan’s character, Vibe Vassey, a disillusioned bachelor who ends up working for the company as the voice behind the app. However, things take a complicated turn when he falls in love with Krithi Shetty’s Dheema. Their relationship soon clashes with the company’s larger ambitions, creating a conflict between real emotions and algorithm-driven decisions.

As tensions rise, SJ Suryah’s character goes to extreme lengths, even threatening to sabotage Vibe’s love life to protect his business vision. What follows is a battle between human instinct and artificial intelligence, with Vibe determined to prove that love cannot be reduced to data or predictions.

About LIK

LIK was first announced in 2019 without a title, with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead and production backed by Lyca Productions. However, it was eventually shelved due to budget constraints. The film was later revived in 2023 with Pradeep Ranganathan stepping in as the lead. That September, Seven Screen Studio officially announced the project, followed by the reveal of the title Love Insurance Corporation in December.

The film features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Ravi Varman and Sathyan Sooryan, and editing handled by Pradeep E. Ragav.

After multiple delays from its originally planned release on September 18, 2025, Love Insurance Kompany is now slated to hit theatres on April 10, 2026. On the technical front, the film's cinematography is by Ravi Varman, and editing by Pradeep E Ragav. The project is backed by Nayanthara under Rowdy Pictures, along with SS Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio.
