Arpit Bala has responded to the controversy surrounding his recent Hyderabad show, where an on-stage altercation broke out after members of the audience allegedly threw bottles at him. The incident, which occurred on March 28, has since gained traction online, sparking divided reactions.

Speaking through a video shared on his YouTube channel, the singer opened up about what led to the moment that has now become widely discussed. Recalling the sequence of events, Bala explained that the concert was progressing smoothly at first. According to him, everything was going well until around the fourth song, with the crowd actively enjoying the performance. However, the situation took an unexpected turn when objects began being thrown toward the stage.

He revealed that multiple bottles were hurled in his direction, with one eventually striking him in the eye. Bala said that while a few bottles had already landed on stage earlier, it was the second direct hit that disrupted his flow and triggered his reaction.

Explaining his reaction, he added, "I was so angry, and then I said something. I do not know if it was right or wrong. I was hit in the face, and it was not even disrespectful, it was just a safety hazard. My face is not a bullseye."

"I saw who hit me, so I abused them, and they abused me back. It was an impulse, and I spat on them. It was wrong, but put yourself in my shoes. I can understand how the internet is reacting. However, they have only seen the clip where I am getting triggered and spitting. But it was a safety concern too."

While offering an apology, he maintained that his reaction came from a place of distress and loss of control in the moment. He stated that expecting no reaction in such circumstances may not be realistic, but he still took accountability for his behaviour. "It is a bit unfair if you want me not to react to such situations in a certain way. In that moment, I could not control it. I am sorry about it, but I have a boundary, and please do not cross it," he concluded.
