Officials have raised concerns over the use of laser lights near airport zones, as they can potentially interfere with aircraft movement and operations. While the Bombay High Court had previously declined to issue a complete ban on laser lights, it had also made it clear that police could step in if public safety was at risk. In this case, authorities reportedly believe that the use of such lighting crossed the permitted limits, which led to legal action.
Apart from the lighting issue, police have also pointed to concerns around crowd management at the concert. Organisers had reportedly informed authorities that around 12,000 people were expected to attend the event. However, reports suggest that the actual turnout was much higher, with nearly 18,000 to 20,000 people showing up at the venue.

The concert also saw a chaotic moment involving a female fan, which later went viral on social media. According to reports, the fan allegedly tried to climb over a closed gate to enter the venue during the performance. Security personnel quickly stepped in, but the situation briefly escalated as she reportedly became agitated and used abusive language.
The Mumbai concert was one of the stops on Honey Singh’s My Story World Tour, which began earlier this month in Delhi. Despite the controversy, the tour is expected to continue with upcoming shows in Pune and Kolkata.
