Sai Pallavi in talks to play carnatic legend M.S. Subbalakshmi in upcoming biopic

MS Subbalakshmi, who passed away in 2004 at the age of 88, was a towering figure in Indian music. She was the first musician to receive the Bharat Ratna and also won the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 1974. In 1966, she made history by becoming the first Indian musician to perform at the United Nations General Assembly. Beyond music, she also appeared in films between 1938 and 1947.
