Ramayana teaser: Ranbir Kapoor looks regal as Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s epic saga - Watch

The much-awaited Ramayana teaser (Rama) is finally here, with Ranbir Kapoor's first look as Lord Rama being unveiled. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the ambitious two-part film aims to present a fresh cinematic interpretation of the timeless epic.

Rama's first look opens with a grand sequence set in Ayodhya, where Ranbir Kapoor makes a majestic entry as Rama, welcomed with showers of flowers. The teaser establishes his regal aura while also showcasing glimpses of his warrior side. Viewers also get brief moments from his vanvaas alongside Sita and Lakshmana, played by Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey. Towards the end, the teaser briefly reveals Yash as Ravana, offering just enough to build intrigue and anticipation among fans. Watch Ramayana's teaser here:


Ramayana teaser receives mixed responses

Needless to say, the hype surrounding Ramayana is high, especially with Prabhas' starrer Adipurush failing to make a mark amongst the audience. However, Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana teaser has received mixed reactions from netizens. "Ramayana teaser, solid 8/10, visuals promising," read a tweet. Teaser is solid 8 out of 10 and this will only get better with 6-7 months before the release but one thing which Namit Malhotra shouldn't have done is saying budget is 4000 cr bcz now people's expectations are really high. Yha dune 3 bhi unko bkaar lgege ab toh #Ramayana," said a fan.

However, a section of the audience found Ramayana's teaser disappointing. “More money spent on this than Avatar and the world just looks disappointing,” read a comment. “No matter how much I want to love this, but no 😢 Rakshasas could be better, and that flirtatious boy image of Ranbir just doesn’t fit into Shri Ram 💔 maybe it gets better,” read another comment.
