‘Jinguchaa’ song from Thug Life out now: Silambarasan and Sanya Malhotra steal the show in the wedding anthem

The first single from Mani Ratnam’s much-awaited film Thug Life is here. Titled Jinguchaa, the song was officially released online by the makers and has already started catching attention for its vibrant visuals and lively energy.

Set during a wedding scene in the film, Jinguchaa features Sanya Malhotra singing and dancing with Silambarasan TR. The song gives a glimpse of festive cheer wrapped in a colourful, celebratory atmosphere. It has been composed by A.R. Rahman, with vocals by Vaishali Samant, Shakthisree Gopalan, and Adithya RK. Interestingly, the lyrics for this track have been written by Kamal Haasan himself.

Thug Life stars Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan TR in key roles. The cast also includes Trisha, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Abhirami, Nassar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Tanikella Bharani, Vadivukkarasi, and many others. With a large ensemble and a strong creative team, expectations are high for this film. The film is directed by Mani Ratnam, who has co-written the script along with Kamal Haasan. Other lyricists on the project include Karthik Netha, Shuba, and Siva Ananth. The technical crew features Ravi K Chandran as the cinematographer, Sreekar Prasad as the editor, and Sharmishta Roy as the production designer. Stunt choreography is handled by Anbariv.

Produced by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R Mahendran, and Siva Ananth, Thug Life is being made under the banners of Madras Talkies, Raaj Kamal Films International, and Red Giant Movies. Shaad Ali and Bejoy Nambiar are also attached to the film as creative producers. Thug Life is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 5, 2025.
