‘Jinguchaa:’ First single from Mani Ratnam’s 'Thug Life' to drop on April 18

After months of quiet buzz, Thug Life, Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan's much-anticipated collaboration is finally picking up steam. On April 17, the makers announced that the first single titled ‘Jinguchaa’ will be unveiled on April 18 with a poster featuring Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan. Thug Life is scheduled to be released worldwide on 5 June 2025 in theatres.

The image hints that the song will revolve around Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan TR, set against the backdrop of a lively wedding. Sharing the poster, Silambarasan wrote, "The Thugs sing and dance conquering the wedding floor," confirming that this track is likely to be a high-energy dance number featuring the lead duo.

Thug Life is scheduled to release in theatres on June 5, marking a massive cinematic reunion between Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam after 36 years since the cult classic Nayakan. The film boasts a massive ensemble cast, including The film stars Kamal Haasan, alongside Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Abhirami, Nassar, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf and Vaiyapuri.

Behind the scenes, the film’s creative muscle is equally strong, with AR Rahman scoring the music, Ravi K Chandran handling cinematography, Sreekar Prasad on editing duties, and Anbariv directing the action. The film is a joint venture by Red Giant Movies, Raaj Kamal Films International, and Madras Talkies.
