Drake's latest 'What Did I Miss?' takes a dig at Kendrick Lamar and other untrustworthy friends

Drake surprised his fans by releasing a new single, ‘What Did I Miss?’, from his upcoming album Iceman. He dropped the track on Friday, July 4. The track revolves around what happened after his big fight with Kendrick Lamar. He has also taken an indirect dig at his other friends who betrayed him in the end. He revealed the track in a live stream on YouTube, where he talked about the album and shared the new song, which includes lyrics that appear to be directed at his rival rapper, Kendrick Lamar. Drake's livestream was unusual because he was spotted driving a van with Iceman branding around Toronto while rapping. The stream showed little about the album but instead focused on his life and surroundings.

The track has lines like “Last time I looked to my right, you guys were standing beside me. How can some people I love hang around people who try me?” which shows how hurt he feels by people he thought were loyal friends. Drake also takes a shot at Kendrick Lamar’s The Pop Out concert in LA last year by including lines like, “I’m back in your city tonight, walking around with my head high. I saw bro at the Pop Out with them, but he’s been riding with us since Headlines.”

‘What Did I Miss?’ is produced by London Cyr, O Lil Angel, DJ LEWIS, FNZ, Elyas, GYZ, Tay Keith, OZ, and Patron. Some fans said that this track has Drake’s old vibe, while others feel he hasn’t really changed much since his last big album. One listener said, “Great production but good God he’s been doing this flow since CLB,” while another fan said, “Unfortunately for the haters, this a banger.”

Despite the mixed reactions from fans, there’s no denying that people are excited for Drake’s upcoming album, Iceman.
