Badshah has had a difficult few weeks in the public eye, from the backlash around his song Tateeree to online chatter over alleged wedding photos with Punjabi actor Isha Rikhi. Amid all of that, the rapper recently shared an emotional message after performing in London, opening up about what the past few weeks have felt like for him.

After his concert at The O2 Arena in London, Badshah posted a heartfelt note on Instagram Stories, thanking fans for showing up for him during what seems to have been a heavy phase personally and professionally.

He wrote, “I’ll be honest with you, these past few weeks tested me in ways I wasn’t fully prepared for. There’s a version of this life that looks perfect from the outside, and then there’s the reality of what you actually carry when the cameras are off. I’ve been sitting with a lot. But London reminded me of something I needed to be reminded of. When I walked out on that O2 stage, the energy hit me before the sound did. The faces, the voices, the warmth in that arena. You flew in from different cities, different countries, different lives, and you showed up for this music, for me, like it meant something to you. That night I remembered who I am and what this is all for. I think I’m ready for the next phase. New music is on its way and I’m pouring everything into it. Thank you for holding me down even when I couldn’t say why I needed it.”

    What happened around Tateeree

Badshah’s recent single Tateeree, released earlier this month, landed in controversy soon after its release. The track drew criticism over its lyrics and visuals, with several people calling it inappropriate and accusing it of indecently representing women.

The controversy soon escalated beyond social media. An FIR was reportedly registered against Badshah in Panchkula, Haryana, under sections related to public decency and indecent representation of women. Following the backlash and legal attention around the song, Tateeree was taken down from YouTube and other streaming platforms. Badshah later issued a public apology and clarified that the lyrics were not aimed at women or children, but at “rival rappers.”

    Wedding rumours with Isha Rikhi

Around the same time, Badshah also found himself in the middle of personal speculation after alleged wedding pictures with Punjabi actor Isha Rikhi began circulating online on March 24. The pictures were shared by Isha's mother, Poonam Rikhi. However, neither Badshah nor Isha have publicly confirmed whether the photos are real.

    His London concert

Even amid the noise, Badshah recently took the stage at The O2 Arena in London, a major milestone in his live performance journey. The concert marked one of his biggest international shows so far and has been described as a lead-up to his upcoming world tour.
