Ram Pothineni is stepping beyond the screen and into the recording booth, not as a singer, but as a lyricist. The Telugu star has written the lyrics for Nuvvunte Chaley, the first single from his upcoming film Andhra King Taluka, marking his debut as a songwriter. Featuring vocals by Anirudh Ravichander, the track is slated for release on July 18, 2025 and adds a new dimension to Pothineni’s creative journey in cinema.

Earlier this week, the actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his excitement about the collaboration. “Love just found its voice & what a voice it is @anirudhofficial. Thank you Rockstar!” he wrote, generating buzz among fans. He later surprised followers with the reveal that he had written the lyrics himself: “This one’s straight from my heart to yours." The track reportedly offers a mix of emotional depth and visual splendour, with Anirudh Ravichander’s vocals complemented by scenic international locations where the song was filmed. The single is expected to set the tone for the film’s music.

Directed by Mahesh Babu P, Andhra King Taluka stars Upendra in the role of Surya Kumar, a character introduced in the teaser as the titular “Andhra King.” The film marks Mahesh Babu P’s second directorial venture, following his debut with Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty two years ago. This project also marks Ram Pothineni’s first collaboration with the renowned production house Mythri Movie Makers. The ensemble cast includes Rahul Ramakrishna, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Satya, and VTV Ganesh in pivotal supporting roles.

The film’s music is composed by duo Vivek–Mervin, with cinematography handled by Siddharth Nuni. Veteran editor Sreekar Prasad takes charge of the film’s cutting room, while production design is led by Avinash Kolla, promising a vibrant visual landscape for this pan-Indian entertainer.
