The energy was infectious on Tuesday evening as actor Ajay Devgn and singer Yo Yo Honey Singh unveiled their latest track, Money Money, from the much-anticipated thriller Raid 2. But for fans of the duo, this wasn’t their first outing together. The pair have previously collaborated on the hit promotional song Aata Majhi Satakli for Singham Returns back in 2014 a track that quickly became a pop-culture staple.

At the Money Money launch, Singh shared a fun anecdote from their earlier collaboration. He revealed that he had just 24 hours to compose and record Aata Majhi Satakli after T-Series head Bhushan Kumar approached him at the last minute. The pressure was high, and so was the chaos. Honey Singh even turned up late for the video shoot and thought he’d be in serious trouble. “Mujhe laga uss din mujhe maar padne waali hai! (I thought I’ll get a beating today). But Ajay Devgn sir met me very warmly. I became an even bigger fan than him. I am a fan of not just Ajay Devgn the actor but also Ajay Devgn the human being,” he recalled.

Interestingly, Money Money came with a similarly tight deadline, though this time, Singh got a little more breathing room. “On the sets of Raid 2, I came on time (laughs)! Maine apni kaafi galtiyan sudhari hai (I have tried to correct many of my mistakes). I have learned a lot from them (Ajay), especially if you want to have a long run in the industry,” he said.

The upbeat song features Honey Singh alongside Ajay and Jacqueline Fernandez. Raid 2 also includes a dance track, Nasha, featuring Tamannaah Bhatia. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film stars Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, and Saurabh Shukla, and hits theatres on May 1.
