Before the love story continues with Dhadak 2, let’s take a moment to revisit the tracks of Dhadak, the film that introduced Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter to Bollywood. Directed by Shashank Khaitan and Shot in Rajasthan and Kolkata, Dhadak was a remake of the Marathi film Sairat. But what really stayed with audiences was its music, composed by Ajay-Atul. It’s been six years, and we still can’t get over these songs.
1. Dhadak title track: Sung by Ajay Gogavale and Shreya Ghoshal, this one was pure romance. The kind that makes you smile and ache at the same time. With soft violins and dhol beats, it captured that shy excitement of first love. The poetic lyrics are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
2. Zingaat: Originally a massive hit in Sairat, the Hindi version 'Zingaat' kept the madness intact as well. Sung by Ajay-Atul, it was loud, chaotic, and full of life, just like teenage love. While some fans missed the Marathi version’s rawness, but this one still got everyone dancing.
3. Pehli Baar: Ajay Gogavale gave this one a boyish charm. ‘Pehli Baar’ was all about that nervous, heart-racing moment when you fall for someone. The lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya were simple, but that’s what made them relatable.

Ajay Gogavale’s voice had that soft, heart-touching feeling, and the melody was minimal but powerful. It showed the quieter, sadder parts of the love story, when reality starts to set in.
While we are still stuck to the tracks from Dhadak, the sequel Dhadak 2 has brought some fresh music that’s already winning hearts. Starring Tripti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi, the film has released three beautiful songs so far, and they are definitely playlist-worthy.
First up is the title track, ‘Bas Ek Dhadak’, sung by Jubin Nautiyal and Shreya Ghoshal. Composed by Javed-Mohsin and written by Rashmi Virag, the song is full of emotions, perfectly capturing the chemistry between Tripti and Siddhant.
Next is ‘Preet Re’, a soft, romantic track sung by Darshan Raval, Jonita Gandhi, and Rochak Kohli. The track is composed by Rochak himself with lyrics by Gurpreet Saini.
The latest release, 'Duniya Alag', is our absolute favourite so far. Arijit Singh has poured pure emotion into every note, with soulful music by Shreyas Puranik and lyrics by Siddharth-Garima.
