    The makers of Raja Shivaji, directed by and starring Riteish Deshmukh, have officially released the teaser of the film, offering a powerful glimpse into the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. After being showcased exclusively in theatres alongside Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the teaser has now made its digital debut.

    The teaser introduces audiences to the world of Swarajya with grand visuals and high-octane action. It opens with Sanjay Dutt portraying a menacing ruler determined to dominate the Marathas, setting the stage for an intense conflict.

    The teaser also features Abhishek Bachchan as Sambhaji Shahaji Bhosale followed by glimpses of an ensemble cast that includes Vidya Balan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Boman Irani, and Amol Gupte. Towards the end, Riteish Deshmukh appears as Raja Shivaji, symbolising the vision and determination behind the establishment of Swarajya.     About Raja Shivaji

    Raja Shivaji is a historical action drama co-written and directed by Riteish Deshmukh. The film is based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire. Raja Shivaji traces the early journey of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, highlighting his oath to establish Swarajya and his fearless stand against the powerful rulers of the time. The film portrays him not just as a king, but as a son and a leader who chose courage over fear.

    Produced by Genelia Deshmukh and Jyoti Deshpande, the film also features an ensemble cast led by Riteish Deshmukh in the title role. The cast also includes Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Amole Gupte, and Genelia Deshmukh. Raja Shivaji is set to release in cinemas worldwide on May 1, 2026, in Marathi, Hindi, and Telugu.
