Oru Pere Varalaaru: Jana Nayagan's second single promo out!
The makers of Jana Nayagan, the upcoming action thriller headlined by Vijay and directed by H Vinoth, have revealed the title of the film’s second single, a day after confirming its release date. A short promo unveiled the song’s name, ‘Oru Pere Varalaaru,' which is set to drop on December 18 at 6:30 PM.

The song is composed by Anirudh Ravichander with lyrics by Vivek. The title loosely translates to “a name becomes history,” and the themes align closely with Vijay’s on-screen persona in socially charged action dramas.

Meanwhile, reports surrounding the film’s runtime have sparked further conversation among fans. Jana Nayagan is said to run for approximately three hours and six minutes, making it Thalapathy Vijay’s longest film in more than a decade. The last time the actor appeared in a film exceeding the three-hour mark was Nanban (2012).

Meanwhile, if you haven't heard the trending hit Thalapathy Kacheri from Jana Nayagan, listen to it on Gaana NOW.

    About Jana Nayagan

Scheduled for a January 9, 2025 theatrical release, Jana Nayagan promises to be a political intrigue with high-octane action. Recent industry buzz hints at a massive climax sequence that will reportedly pit Thalapathy Vijay’s character against multiple humanoids, exploring the concept of “Humans vs AI.” The ambitious sequence is said to be one of the most visually striking moments ever attempted in Indian cinema, although the filmmakers have yet to confirm these details.

The film stars Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde alongside Vijay, with Pooja playing a character named Kayal. The same was revealed through a special birthday poster earlier this year. The ensemble cast also includes Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, and Narain in key roles. Earlier reports speculated that Jana Nayagan could be a remake of the Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer Bhagavanth Kesari, but newer updates suggest the team has only adapted a key sequence from the original.
