'Katchi Sera' and 'Aasa Kooda' fame singer-composer Sai Abhyyankar is all set to make his Malayalam debut with Shane Nigam's Balti. The makers made a thrilling announcement with none other than Mohanlal welcoming the young talent to the industry.

Balti is touted to be a sports-action drama starring Shane Nigam. The film is directed by Unni Sivalingam and will have a grand release on August 27, 2025, just in time for Oname. The movie, which is also being filmed in Tamil, revolves around the sport of kabaddi.

Rising music sensation Sai Abhyankkar first grabbed the spotlight when his independent single 'Katchi Sera' went viral across social media. The buzz quickly caught the attention of Tamil film directors, and in no time, Sai found himself in demand, landing major film projects back-to-back.

The young composer is currently scoring music for Simbu’s upcoming film, directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan. Apart from that, he is also roped in as composer for Benz, which is a part of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Universe. Addressing any potential pressure associated with the LCU tag, Sai added, “I feel no pressure. I know that the scores for all the other LCU offerings are super hits. But I just want to keep my approach to the film original. I want to give this universe a new sound.”

Adding to his already impressive lineup, he is all set to compose for Allu Arjun’s much-awaited magnum opus, to be directed by Atlee—tentatively titled AA22XA6. Can't wait to experience the magic of Sai Abhyyankar in theatres, isn't it?
