Punjabi star Karan Aujla is facing more trouble on his ongoing P-Pop Culture India Tour, with his upcoming concerts in Lucknow and Ludhiana now cancelled. The development comes not long after his Mumbai concert triggered strong reactions from fans on social media. Many attendees had complained about the event’s management, claiming the venue became overcrowded and difficult to navigate. Several also alleged that the afternoon heat made the situation worse, with some concertgoers reportedly fainting during the show.

Karan Aujla, who began his India tour with a performance in Delhi on February 28, has since also performed in Mumbai and Kolkata. But while the tour is still on, not all planned stops are moving ahead as expected. His shows lined up in Lucknow and Ludhiana have now been pulled down from the District App, where tickets were being sold, and refunds are reportedly being processed for those who had already booked.

While there has been no official statement from Aujla or his team yet, an official from the local administration in Lucknow confirmed that the city’s show had been cancelled. “Yes, the show in the city got cancelled. There were multiple issues including being unable to procure a liquor license. The location, due to scheduled matches, was also one of the reasons, but majorly it was revenue break-even, it was not a sold-out, maybe due to being overpriced, priced over lakhs for a table of 10-15,” the official said.

There also seems to be some uncertainty around the exact reason behind the cancellations. A source from the organising team suggested that the decision may have been influenced by what happened in Mumbai. “Till now, what we know is that after the Mumbai fiasco, the Aujla and his team wanted to make sure to take up concerts in other cities only with everything in place. So, the reason cited is logistics. Pricing and all is not sure of,” the source shared.

Meanwhile, screenshots circulating on Reddit appear to show District responding to fans about the Ludhiana event. One such reply read, “Hi there, we regret to inform you that the Karan Aujla P-Pop Culture India Tour - Ludhiana on April 10 has been cancelled due to logistical difficulties. Refunds have been initiated and will reflect in your original mode of payment within 5-7 business days. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.”

For now, Aujla’s Jaipur concert on April 5 is still on schedule and is expected to take place at the JECC Ground.

What has also caught attention is that despite the backlash around the Mumbai concert, Aujla has already announced another show in the city titled Mumbai 2.0, which is currently scheduled for April 12.
