'Indra' from Once More: Hesham Abdul Wahab paints a love story that you’ll have on loop
Director Vignesh Srikanth’s Once More, which was originally slated for a 2025 release, has found a new lease of life. The film, headlined by Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar, is now set to hit theatres in the summer of 2026, although an exact release date has not yet been announced. The makers have now unveiled a new single from Once More, introducing the film’s second female lead, Indra, played by Sona Olickal.

Indra unfolds as a heartwarming melody that beautifully weaves together Malayalam and Tamil verses. Composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, the track features lyrics by Vignesh Srikanth and Arun Alat. It also marks the Tamil singing debut of Hanan Shah. The video captures Arjun Das and Sona Olickal sharing tender, love-filled moments from their college days.

Meanwhile, the first single from Once More titled Vaa Kannamma, released in 2025, became viral upon release and is one of the most sought-after Tamil tracks from recent times.

The makers have also dropped a new teaser introducing Sona’s character, a Malayali girl, who questions Arjun about his belief in love at first sight. He then attempts to reassure her that a cross-cultural romance can work, referencing M Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi. She, however, disagrees, pointing to films like Autograph and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa as examples of how such love stories often end in heartbreak. Watch Once More teaser here:

While earlier promos only hinted at the storyline, this teaser offers a clearer glimpse into the film’s narrative direction. Though the full plot details are yet-to-be-known, it seems Aditi Shankar’s character enters Arjun Das’s life after a past heartbreak. On the technical front, the movie has cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan, art director Raj Kamal, editor Nash, and costume designer Navadevi Rajkumar.
