Heeseung breaks silence after ENHYPEN exit, shares update on solo plans

A new chapter has begun for Heeseung, and he is finally letting fans in on what the future looks like. Following his unexpected departure from ENHYPEN, the K-pop star has now broken his silence, addressing fans directly and offering a glimpse into his next phase as an artist under BELIFT LAB.

On Sunday, March 22, Heeseung appeared at a previously scheduled fansign event, which also included video call interactions that had been postponed after the news of his exit surfaced. The event marked his first direct communication with fans since the announcement, making it an emotional moment for many.

Clips from the interaction, now circulating online, show a heartfelt conversation between Heeseung and a fan who encouraged him to prioritise his dreams. When asked how he was doing, the singer assured that he was doing fine. The fan’s words, “You can do whatever you want. I will always follow you” and “Your dream matters too” has visibly moved him. Responding with sincerity, Heeseung said, “I will try my best to do [well],” expressing both gratitude and relief.

He also took the opportunity to speak about what lies ahead after stepping away from ENHYPEN, a group he was part of for nearly six years. Sharing an exciting update, Heeseung confirmed that he is preparing to release his solo album soon.

“Actually, I’m gonna release my album soon,” he revealed, adding that the upcoming project will explore a completely new musical direction compared to his earlier work. “Let me just tell you, it’s gonna be really different. I’m gonna do my best, I’ll work really hard, so you can trust me more. Thank you for trusting me even though you must have been surprised, and I’m sorry [for causing worry],” he added.

Earlier this month, the K-pop industry was taken by surprise when BELIFT LAB officially announced Heeseung’s departure. According to the agency, the decision followed detailed discussions about both the group’s future and the members’ individual paths.

“HEESEUNG will be parting ways with ENHYPEN, and ENHYPEN will continue official activities henceforth as a group of six members. It’s difficult to relay the whole process through a short notice, but this decision comes after extensive deliberation. We understand that this news is a lot to process and may be received with mixed reactions. Nevertheless, we hope you understand that this decision was made for the future of ENHYPEN and HEESEUNG,” the statement read.
