Ed Sheeran, BLACKPINK’s Rosé and other stars named TIME100 most influential people of 2025

In a year already filled with iconic tours and global hits, it’s no surprise that some of the biggest names in music have found a spot on TIME’s 2025 list of the Most Influential People. The annual list, revealed on April 16, recognises individuals from across the world who are “transforming the world” — whether through art, innovation, leadership, or cultural impact.

Leading the charge this year are Ed Sheeran, ROSÉ of BLACKPINK, and Snoop Dogg, three artists who, despite their very different styles, have each left a mark on global music culture. They join a varied lineup that includes singer-songwriters like Hozier and Nicole Scherzinger, actors such as Kristen Bell, Adam Scott, Adrien Brody, and Blake Lively, and celebrated athletes like Serena Williams, Simone Biles, and Jalen Hurts.

Political figures such as President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Elon Musk are also featured on this year’s list, which honours 100 individuals in total. As is tradition, each honoree was celebrated with a written tribute by a fellow peer or admirer.

Chris Hemsworth, for instance, praised Ed Sheeran’s gift for human connection: “He has an almost supernatural ability to connect” with listeners, calling him “one of the most kindhearted, down-to-earth people.” Lily Collins, recalling a Paris fashion show, described ROSÉ as a “total bada–” and “such a dynamic performer and songwriter.” Noah Kahan wrote of Hozier, “I’m not sure where my life would’ve gone if I hadn’t been exposed to his music … Thank you, Hozier, for sharing your gift with us mere mortals.” And Hoda Kotb summed up Snoop Dogg’s timeless charm: “There’s just something about this guy that makes me — and millions of his fans — feel so happy and loved.”
