Diljit Dosanjh shares BTS from ‘Border 2’ amid ongoing controversy, confirms he's still part of the film

Diljit has been at the centre of a social media storm since the trailer of Sardaar Ji 3 was released on June 22, revealing that Hania Aamir, a Pakistani actor, stars alongside him. The controversy intensified after Dosanjh did not delay the film's overseas release following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
In light of the backlash, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a letter to Sunny Deol, who also stars in Border 2, urging him to reconsider his association with the project. “Your decision to disassociate from this collaboration will reaffirm your enduring image as a true patriot and send a strong message that national interest comes before personal gain,” the letter stated.
Meanwhile, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah also waded into the controversy. After initially posting a strong message of support for Dosanjh, blaming political motives for the backlash, Shah later deleted the post. However, he followed it up with a cryptic message on Facebook, quoting German philosopher Georg Christoph Lichtenberg: “It is almost impossible to carry the torch of truth through a crowd without singeing somebody’s beard.”
