Gaana Indie Pop Top 10: Diljit Dosanjh’s Dealer makes a fresh entry

Love songs, Punjabi beats, indie heartbreak and a few fresh surprises, this week’s Gaana Indie Pop Top 10 has it all.

Taking over the top spot this week is Arz Kiya Hai by Anuv Jain from Coke Studio Bharat. The song has jumped three spots up and now sits comfortably at number one. Written, composed and sung by Anuv himself, the track brings his signature soft and emotional vibe to the charts.

Holding strong at number two is Boyfriend by Karan Aujla. Even though the song has been out for a while now, it continues to stay relevant and keeps finding its way back into listeners’ playlists.

At number three, there’s Yahin Guzaar Doon. The track features Amaal Mallik and Farhana Bhatt, with vocals by Shreya Ghoshal. Composed by Amaal, the song adds a soothing and melodic feel to this week’s lineup.

At number four is For a Reason, another strong chart performer from Karan Aujla. The song has now completed an impressive 20 weeks on the chart. Featuring Tania, the track blends Punjabi flavour with an easy hip-hop groove, making it one of those songs you can keep going back to. Karan has handled the writing, composition and vocals, while Ikky has produced the music.

This week also sees Diljit Dosanjh making a fresh entry on the chart with Dealer, which lands at number five. The track carries a groovy, hip-hop-inspired energy and has Diljit’s signature swag written all over it. The song has vocals by Diljit himself, while the lyrics and composition are by Virk Andaaz. The music has been produced by Da Future, giving the song a slick and upbeat sound.

At number six, Diljit continues his presence on the chart with Kufar, featuring Manushi Chhillar. The song remains a listener favourite thanks to its stylish vibe and Diljit’s effortless energy.


At number seven is Khat by Navjyot Ahuja, which adds a smooth and easygoing touch to the list and seems to be steadily catching attention.

Coming in at number eight is Dil Lagana Mana Tha by Krish and Kishore. The track is still fairly new but is already showing signs of becoming a steady chart performer.

Meanwhile, last week’s new entry Iss Tarah by Chaar Diwaari has dropped to number nine this week. The track brings together Sonu Nigam and Chaar Diwaari, creating an interesting mix of classic melody and a more experimental modern sound.

And wrapping up the chart at number 10 is another new entry, Ankhiyan Roye. The song is sung by Palak Muchhal, with music by Uddipan Sharma and lyrics by Azeem Shirazi.
