Recently, Bruno Mars hinted that the duo might be working together again. Confirming the buzz to Billboard, he said, "Oh, yeah, there is. And we love that song that we worked on, I won't say the title... We're just trying to figure out when, or how."
APT. turned into one of the biggest songs of 2025, and its origin story is just as interesting. The track was born during a studio session in Los Angeles, where Rosé introduced everyone to a simple Korean drinking game called “Apartment” (pronounced apateu). The group ended up chanting the hook spontaneously, and that playful moment eventually became the heart of the song.
Interestingly, Rosé was unsure about releasing a track inspired by a drinking game at first and even asked her team to delete it. But when she later shared three potential songs with Bruno Mars for a collaboration, APT. made it to him, and the rest is history.
The song has already made records. Rosé became the first lead K-pop artist to earn nominations across all six major Grammy categories, with APT. scoring three nods, including Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance It also won Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, another historic first for a K-pop artist.
