Beyoncé has set a major milestone with her Cowboy Carter tour. According to Live Nation, the tour has earned over $400 million, making it the highest-earning country music tour ever. And with this, Beyoncé is now the highest-grossing Black artist in history and also holds the title for the most successful R&B artist when it comes to tour earnings. At 43, she is also the first woman and first American artist to have two separate tours cross the $400 million mark.

The Cowboy Carter tour kicked off in Los Angeles in April and featured country-inspired songs like 'Texas Hold 'Em'. Beyoncé also invited her daughters to join her on stage during some of the performances. The tour wrapped up in Las Vegas with surprise appearances from Destiny’s Child bandmates- Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and Shaboozey. And of course, Jay-Z also joined her on stage after that. The power couple performed hits like 'Crazy in Love', with Jay-Z also delivering his verse from 'Ni**as in Paris'. They completed their set with a kiss at the end, and had fans cheer louder than ever.

Beyoncé used this tour to spotlight the role of Black artists in country music, something that’s often overlooked. Many of the artists she highlighted are also featured on her Cowboy Carter album. Despite growing up in Texas, Beyoncé has spoken about feeling unwelcome in the country music world. She made history at the 2025 Grammy Awards as the first Black woman to win Best Country Album. Back in 2016, her performance at the Country Music Association Awards sparked controversy, with some people online criticizing her for not being “country enough".

The Cowboy Carter tour included 32 sold-out stadium shows across North America, the UK, and Europe, contributing to the massive \$400 million total. While Beyoncé’s achievement is huge, pop star Taylor Swift currently holds the record for the highest-grossing tour of all time, with her Eras tour making over \$2 billion between March 2023 and December 2024.
