Two more members of the boy band, SEVENTEEN, are getting ready to start their mandatory military service. PLEDIS Entertainment shared on Weverse on July 7 that WOOZI and HOSHI will be the next to enlist. WOOZI will begin his service on September 15, and HOSHI will follow on September 16.

Before they go, the two will hold the HOSHI X WOOZI FAN CONCERT [WARNING], which will take place in five cities starting from Seoul on July 11, followed by Busan, Taipei, and Japan. The concert will end on August 24 in Gwangju. They will also take part in a special video call fan signing for SEVENTEEN’s fifth studio album Yizhiyu.

PLEDIS also said that while WOOZI and HOSHI are away, they won’t be part of SEVENTEEN’s activities, but they have prepared pre-recorded content for CARATs (the group’s fans).

Out of SEVENTEEN’s 13 members, only nine need to serve in South Korea’s military, which usually lasts between 18 and 21 months. WONWOO and JEONGHAN have already started their service. Four members do not have to enlist as Joshua is American, THE 8 and JUN are Chinese citizens, and S.COUPS is exempt due to a knee injury.

Talking about the upcoming enlistments, HOSHI told The Hollywood Reporter, “This is something that has always been inevitable for us. We have been ready. We’ve planned many projects with HYBE to keep things going.”

SEVENTEEN recently celebrated their 10th anniversary with their new album HAPPY BURSTDAY, which was released on May 26. As part of the album promotions, WOOZI and HOSHI appeared on the Korean variety show Chef and My Fridge, which also streams on Netflix. They brought ingredients from their own fridges and asked celebrity chefs to make special meals. Other members, SEUNGKWAN, THE 8, VERNON, and MINGYU also made fans laugh with their appearance on BuzzFeed Celeb’s Thirst Tweets, where they read and joked about fans’ funny tweets.
