The buzz around War 2 has just reached a new high with the reveal of the first official still from the upcoming song ‘Aavan Jaavan’, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani in a dazzling new avatar. The image, shared by director Ayan Mukerji on Instagram, teases a glamorous pairing that promises electrifying on-screen chemistry.

Ayan captioned the post, “Aavan Jaavan – our first song from War 2 – is out in two days! Sharing some love and excitement here about it! Pritam Dada. Amitabh. Arijit. Hrithik and Kiara’s lovely energy as they come together on screen for the first time. Groovy and romantic – Aavan Jaavan was the soundtrack for our Italian shoot, and creating it was one of the most joy-filled memories from making War 2!”

The post instantly went viral, with fans flooding the comments in anticipation. Reactions ranged from “Can’t wait to see the romance” to “Dying to witness the chemistry between Hrithik and Kiara.” This marks the first on-screen collaboration between the two stars, adding to the excitement.

‘Aavan Jaavan’, composed by Pritam, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and vocals by Arijit Singh, is described as a romantic ballad that explores the dynamic between Hrithik’s character Kabir and Kiara’s Kavya. The track is expected to drop on July 31, coinciding with Kiara Advani’s birthday. Notably, Arijit and Hrithik have previously delivered the chartbuster Ghungroo from War.

Leaked moments from the song’s shoot in Rome and Tuscany had already stirred early interest online, but this official glimpse offers a more intimate look at the film’s romantic subplot. The visuals and energy from the teaser had already hinted at sparks flying between the leads.

War 2, the much-awaited sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, hits cinemas on August 14, 2025, nearly six years after the original set the box office on fire. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film also stars NTR Jr in a pivotal role and will be released globally in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, including IMAX formats. Backed by Aditya Chopra under the YRF banner, the film is expected to take the franchise forward with even higher stakes — with Hrithik’s Kabir possibly going rogue, as teased in Tiger 3’s end-credit scene and early promotional clips.
