20-year-old Sai Abhyankar already has 8 films lined up before his big debut

Sai Abhyankar, the young music composer and singer who rose to fame last year with hits like ‘Katchi Sera’ and ‘Aasa Kooda’, seems to be winning everyone’s heart. He hasn’t even made his official feature film debut yet, but already has eight movie projects lined up.

Sai has signed up for a mix of Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films. In 2025, he is working on a Malayalam-Tamil bilingual by Unni Sivalingam, starring Shane Nigam. He is also doing music for Dude, a Tamil film directed by Keerthiswaran, featuring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju.

But it looks like he has already stepped into the big league. He has been brought on board for Atlee’s film with Allu Arjun, RJ Balaji’s Karupp starring Suriya and Trisha, and Tamizh’s Marshal with Karthi, which was announced just this week. Along with this, he is also composing for Bakkiyaraj Kannan’s Benz with Raghava Lawrence, and an untitled film by Ramkumar Balakrishnan starring Simbu.

As per some reports, Sai will also be scoring music for Vinayak Chandrasekaran’s upcoming film with Siva Karthikeyan. Most of these films are set to release in 2025 and 2026.
Apart from these, Sai has also been releasing independent albums. He dropped his fourth single, ‘Vizhi Veekura, last week, which is composed, sung, and produced by Sai himself. The song also features soulful female vocals by Sai Smriti, lyrics by Adesh Krishna, and additional vocals by Arjun, John, and Vasks.

His first single was the indie hit ‘Katchi Sera,’ which went viral on social media. The buzz quickly caught the attention of Tamil film directors, and in no time, Sai found himself in demand, landing major film projects back-to-back. Sai’s second single, ‘Aasa Kooda,’ is the track that gained him a lot of popularity. The track was released in the year 2024 and achieved widespread success, crossing over 100 million views. This helped him grow his fan base. Then he released ‘Sithira Puthiri’ in 2025, which was his third single.
